I know I say this about almost every wedding, but this was the most perfect wedding day! I was worried my energy level would be as low as could be, what with another wedding the day before, but the moment I dropped my second photographer off with the boys in Renfrew, I knew we were in for a good day. An Ottawa Valley summer wedding would not be complete without burgers and beers. Well played, boys.

I met up with the girls at the bride’s family home where the gals had just finished hair and makeup and were lounging around with mimosas – the classy version of burgers and beer.

After the girls were dressed and ready, we headed outside for a few photos before heading to the ceremony. Dana’s parents live on the most adorable country road with loads of land surrounding it.

Meanwhile, over at the groom’s place, the guys were replenishing before getting dressed and ready.

The bride and groom chose to get married at The Oaks of Cobden Golf Club on this perfect summer’s day.

Chris built that gorgeous arch for their ceremony! Talk about mad skillz (yes, I just spelled ‘skills’ with a Z. Sorry, not sorry).

Following the ceremony, we rode around on golf carts with our very own golf club marshall escorting us around (and making sure we didn’t get knocked in the head by golf balls). He took us to some beautiful spots for photos of the wedding party and the bride and groom.

Can we please talk about the adorableness of this tree? I know half of this wedding party thought I was drunk or something when I told them to stand in front of the dead looking tree. But I just love this photo!

After we wrapped up our photos at the golf club, we made our way to the Pembroke Best Western for the wedding reception. The next stop on our Ottawa Valley summer wedding tour!

After the first dance, we patiently waited for the sun to be just right, and I grabbed Chris and Dana for a few photos. You would never believe these were taken behind the Best Western, just off the busy highway with transport trucks across the street. Except that I had to get the bride and groom to stand in front of this old shipping container. Cause nothing screams wedding like a little something rustic? Am I right?
