It was threatening rain for this fall wedding at the Britannia Yacht Club. The winds were strong and the clouds were rolling in. But, the seas were calm indoors, over at Amy’s family home (see what I did there? A witty sailing joke? You laughed…right?). You see, Mark is a professional sailor, like for real. The two met in England, 4 years ago, where Mark was sailing and Amy was working the PR for the sailing club. The couple moved to Canada, where Amy is from, about a year and half ago.

So it only made sense that the couple incorporate a yacht club into their wedding in some way. Amy and Mark chose to have their ceremony in the cutest little church in Westboro, but held their reception at the Britannia Yacht Club.

When I arrived to the bride’s family home, the girls were getting beautified by Leslie-Anne Barrett, and hairstylist Top Knot Leah. Things were running a little behind schedule, but Amy was calm, cool and collected.

Note about this photo: I had originally taken a photo of the bride double fisting, but then add the champagne, and I had to scratch that photo for this one. This is skill right here. Especially considering she was also getting her hair done.

Onto the All Saints Anglican Church in Westboro for this sweet ceremony.

The ceremony was a perfect blend of Amy and Mark’s personalities. There were some laughs and lots of love.

Following the ceremony, Amy surprised Mark with a bag piper outside the church while they greeted their friends and families. It was amazing.

Over at the yacht club, Breanna and her team were putting the finishing touches on this beautiful space.

As guests started to arrive, we took some photos of the bride and groom and their wedding party. These guys know how to laugh, I tell ya.

Inside, the party was already getting started with Robbie and Matthew, a duo from Toronto. I had the pleasure of working with them at Rebecca and Matt’s wedding, last year, and was so excited to see them here again. They’re so fun!

The evening was so full of love and laughter! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day, Amy and Mark! xo

Amazing photos. Love the first black and white of Amy, Amy and Clark and the one of the two of them on the dock. What a fabulous day and wonderful clouds! We were there in spirit. Congrats all around. Kathryn and Chad
