You might remember Kim and Allan’s outrageously gorgeous Museum of Nature wedding from a few years back, planned and styled by the ever so talented Chic Wedding Planners. I literally still get goosebumps when I think about the beautiful details that went into this wedding. Like, seriously. Check this out and tell me you’re not drooling.

Anyways, I digress. I photographed their wedding in May 2015, and in just a few short weeks, they are expecting their first baby. Aside from Jane, their sweet dog.

Kim and Allan are such a fun, easy going couple. Which as a recent new mom, I can tell you, will go a long way when it comes time to having a new baby in the house. Between the poop explosions, the late-night feedings, the endless amount of laundry and the constant fear that you’re somehow going to break your baby, you need to find humour and ease wherever you can. Even when it’s 3 am, and you’ve been awake 4 times already and you can’t even really remember when it feels like to have more than 2 hours of sleep in a row. Remembering that it’s all part of the journey of parenthood keeps you sane. And as much as they tell you not to go on the Google, sometimes you just have to know what green poo means, even at 3 am.

Anyways, I digress yet again. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful pair yet again, before they officially become parents. Just like us, Kim and Allan have decided to wait to find out whether they are having a boy or a girl. It’s such a special moment.

Here are some of my favourite photos from their maternity session at home, and down the road at the beautiful Union Street bridge.

After a few indoor photos, we bundled up and headed outside to the Union Street bridge nearby. I love this bridge. I’ve done countless sessions there, and it never gets old.

I can’t wait to meet this beautiful baby so so soon! xoxo
