I’m not going to lie…I think I jumped for joy when Ashley booked me for her cottage wedding this summer. I am SO looking forward to this wedding and I am even more excited now that I’ve photographed their engagement session.

Ashley is a fellow Camp Davern girl which comes as no surprise after meeting her. She has that spark that is contagious like all Davern girls. Ashley’s one request when they started planning their wedding was that they get married at Matt’s family cottage. Cottage weddings are my jam – they are beautiful and unique in the most perfect way. AND they’re often in the woods.

I met this bride and groom at the Museum of History at sunset where we walked and enjoyed the weather.

It was THE most beautiful summer night. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunset.

I have been wanting to see what the underneath of the Alexandria Bridge looks like from this vantage point for a while and it totally paid off. We had to dodge some goose poop and mud but it was so worth it.

Congratulations Ashley and Matt! I am so excited to photograph your wedding!
