Whitney and Alec’s wedding was the kind of celebration that reminds you what it’s all about—good people, a beautiful setting, and a day that felt entirely true to them.
The day started at the iconic Château Laurier, where Whitney got ready with her closest friends and her mom. The suite was calm, filled with quiet excitement and that pre-wedding energy that’s equal parts surreal and totally grounding. Once she stepped into her dress, it was clear—this day was going to be something special.
Alec waited just outside the Château for their first look—a quiet, private moment that gave them space to breathe before everything officially began. From there, we made our way to Patterson’s Creek along the Rideau Canal for family photos and some time with just the two of them. That little pocket of nature in the middle of the city couldn’t have been a better backdrop. It felt relaxed, intimate, and completely them.
The ceremony and dinner took place at North and Navy, a cozy, authentic spot that perfectly suited their vision for the day: intimate, thoughtful, and centered around their closest people. No over-the-top frills—just meaningful moments, great conversation, and incredible food.
Weddings like this are a reminder that small doesn’t mean simple. Every detail felt intentional, and every part of the day told their story.
Following the ceremony, they invited their friends to join them to celebrate for the rest of the evening over cocktails and canapes.
Whitney and Alec—thanks for letting me capture it all. It was the perfect celebration.
