It was my first wedding of 2020 and my one and only winter wedding this season. And oh man it did not disappoint.
Emily and Paul were married at Le Belvedere in Wakefield on the most perfect winter day last month. The sun was shining, it was like 2 degrees, and this bride and groom cleaned up niiiiice.
You may remember these two from their engagement session at Beyond the Pale last fall. We sat together and had some beers afterwards and conversation was so easy and fun. I knew that their wedding day would be a blast. And it was.
My day started off with the boys at The Wakefield Grand, where they were getting ready.
The groom knows me well – he gifted me a 4-pack of my favourite Beyond the Pale beer. Yummmm. And yes – I waited to crack into them once I was home.
Meanwhile, the girls were over at The Garden House putting the final touches on hair and makeup before getting dressed. It was my first time shooting inside the Garden House – it is LOVELY. There’s so much natural light, it’s a dream.
A sweet moment with Emily and her father before we headed out to meet the groom.
The boys were waiting for us at The Wakefield Covered Bridge looking dapper.
The bride and groom chose to do a first look on the Wakefield Covered Bridge. Cuuuuute.
Like come on. His face. Melt my heart.
Also, The Gathering Event Co. is a real talent. Obsessed with this bouquet, girl!
This will forever be the most beautiful place to get married, especially in the winter.
Oh the happiness. Can it ever be felt!
More cathedral veils please. All day long.
Congratulations Emily and Paul! What a day!
