I have been waiting a long time to photograph a wedding at Stonefields. Like, years! Last year was supposed to be THE year but the wedding got postponed, so I was thrilled when Alissa and Nigel booked me for their Stonefields Wedding.
I met Alissa at one of the wedding shows I did a few years back when she was still in the early stages of planning. Soon after, we scheduled a meeting with her and Nigel at my home studio (I’m totally missing this little space since we moved!!) and they booked me on the spot. Hurray for a Stonefields Wedding!!!
Fast forward a year and half, and I found myself walking the beautiful grounds of Stonefields on the most perfect sunny September day. My day started off with the boys getting ready in the Badchild Pub. I walked in and all the curtains were drawn and they were already dressed to the nines in their suits. I felt like I was walking in to Godfather, the movie. I was told they had to keep the curtains drawn because the bride hadn’t arrived yet! Good on ya, boys.
Once the bride was on site and hidden indoors, we ventured out for a few photos of the groomsmen before I met up with the girls in the Farmhouse.
I walked into the girls doing a boomerang for the ‘gram. The best.
With the bride in her dress, and her dad having already wiped away a few tears, it was time to get this show on the road!
The bride and groom had their first dance following their grand entrance and then George Thomas kicked off the dance party before we even sat down to dinner!
So that’s it for the beautiful photos of the bride and groom. But did I mention the dance party? George Thomas does not disappoint. If you’ve never gone to a wedding with him at the MC/DJ, it is SO. MUCH. FUN. He kept the party going between courses, after dinner, and I’m sure, alllll night long. The best!
Thanks for popping my Stonefields cherry, you two!! I had such a blast celebrating with your families! Congratulations on the most perfect day!
