Oh, this wedding. I didn’t really know what to expect but everything about this day exceeded my expectations. It was a super rainy morning leading up to the wedding ceremony, which was supposed to be outdoors at Stanley’s Maple Farm. Even when it stopped for a little, it started up all over again.
But once we got to Stanley’s, the rain had stopped long enough for us to capture the first look, some photos of Jess and Chris, and then on to the ceremony! But, as luck had it, the bus that was scheduled to arrive in time for the ceremony with a large number of the wedding guests had broken down and would not be arriving for another hour. The officiant was not sure he could stay to marry the couple much later than scheduled, so one of the groomsman got on the phone to see if they could have an acquaintance who’s a Justice of the Peace drive down to marry the couple.
An hour later, after much discussion, the couple decided they would get married whether the bus had arrived or not. The officiant agreed to stay for an extra hour to marry the couple. Just as time was running out, the bus turned the corner and the ceremony was on it’s way.
Through all the chaos, all the stress, the rain and the unknowns, Jess and Chris were as cool as cucumbers. This was one of those weddings were you could clearly feel the love these two share for one another.
