The official start to the wedding season was a real gem with this spring wedding at Strathmere Inn just outside of Ottawa. Aimee and Jordan had the sweetest of intimate weddings surrounded by their closest family and friends, including their adorable daughter. No wedding party, no fluff, just a simple and elegant wedding.
When I arrived at the Strathmere Inn, I snuck upstairs to take a peek at what was going on. I found the father of the bride by the window looking over his speech (I would assume) and the girls in one of the suites putting the finishing touches on everything before heading downstairs for the ceremony.
The daughter of the bride and groom was seriously the sweetest little thing. Her bunny in tow, she watched as her mom finished getting ready.
Bunny also escorted Dad down the aisle.
This was my first wedding at the Inn at Strathmere. It’s such a cute little spot. Definitely the perfect place for a small, intimate wedding.
Guh…that moment right after the first kiss…my favourite. Also when I have to hold back tears the most. The most genuine of smiles. It makes my heart pitter patter.
Following the ceremony, we walked the grounds of Strathmere, seeking dry land after all the rain and melting snow we’ve had!
The sun made an appearance here and there throughout the day, adding a little more warmth to this beauty day.
This literally might be my favourite photo from this day. The pure joy in this moment as their daughter runs towards them is a real heart-melter.
And is it even a Strathmere Inn wedding without a picture in front of this iconic window? Hells no.
Congrats to this amazing bride and groom on the most perfect spring wedding. Thankfully Mother Nature cooperated and we saw the sun peek out and ZERO rain. Say whaaaaaat?!
