Josh used to come to my Saturday morning yoga classes at Yogatown way back when along with a number of his family members, including his lovely mother Anne. When Josh and Fiona got engaged, Anne reached out to me to treat them to an engagement session.

I spoke to Fiona soon after and she was just over the moon excited to be getting married. Josh and Fiona have set a date for next June at Le Belvedere, and I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding!

We met one beautiful evening at the Rockcliffe Pavilion in Ottawa for their engagement photos as the sun was setting. I can’t believe I have yet to shoot an engagement or wedding here – it is so lovely.

I suggested we drive down to the boathouse by the water so we could get a few different photos since they also wanted to do a wardrobe change. Often I find it makes more sense to switch up the location if you’re changing your outfits. Plus you can’t keep me from the water at sunset.

I just love this photo so much. I can hear Fiona’s sweet laughter!
