Katherine and I met a little over two years ago when I started working at Yogatown. She is sweet and sarcastic, all rolled into one! My kinda gal! Plus, she likes yoga and red wine. We instantly became friends.
Old Quarry Trail Engagement Session
Katherine and Colin decided they wanted their engagement session at the Old Quarry Trail. For good reason! On Christmas day this past year, it was unseasonably warm so they decided to enjoy the weather and head to the Old Quarry Trail, not far from home, for a little hike. Along this cute little wooden bridge, Colin got down on one knee and asked Katherine to be his wife. She of course said yes! What a great Christmas present, I might add!
Here are some of my faves of their engagement photos from our session earlier this month!
If there’s one thing you should know about Katherine, it’s that she loooooves red wine. Yes, I mentioned that already. But it’s an important detail. I’m sure she’d happily tell you she’s a bit of a snob when it comes to wine, too. She also might love wine just as much as she loves Colin. Too far, Katherine? Haha. I love that theses two brought a vintage bottle of Merlot from one of their favourite wineries in Niagara, Megalomaniac. We popped a bottle along the Old Quarry Trail in celebration of their engagement.
Katherine will be so happy that I decided to share this tidbit about the next photo! So funny story…Katherine is sitting on the rail of the boardwalk, arms wrapped around Colin. I tell them to cozy up and get close. Katherine is looking down past her shoulder. Colin asks what she is looking at. Answer: “Bird poop”. Romance at it’s finest, my friends!
We continued our nature walk into the wooded area and came across these incredibly tall trees. It also felt like the right time to pull out Katherine’s cozy shall for a few photos!
So much love for these two!! Stay tuned for their wedding photos in 2017!!
