Last Friday, I braved the traffic on the 417 at rush hour and headed out to Kemptville for Ginny and Dave’s engagement session. Every time I get on the highway during rush hour, my knuckles are white within seconds, I’m playing the “changing lanes” game hoping one will be faster than the other, and I’m trying to find ways of distracting myself from the fact that I could be late. I HATE being late. Whether it’s a hair appointment, a movie, coffee with a friend, or a photo shoot – I have an obsessive need to be on time, if not early. We have Mr. Notley to thank for that – thanks, Dad.
Ok, I’m getting off topic here. All that to say that the moment I stepped out of the car at Ginny and Dave’s house (ON TIME!), I instantly felt relaxed, at ease, and PUMPED for our shoot. There’s something about Kemptville that I really like. The country, the wide open spaces, the air, even – it’s sooooo lovely. I can see why Ginny and Dave made the move out there. It makes the 417 jazz seem worth it. It feels like you’re on vacay out there.
The couple took me on a drive to Burritts Rapids then to the bride-to-be’s family farm, where their wedding will take place in October. Beauty. Everything about this shoot was just beautiful – the couple, the setting, the light. Oh the light.
Check out these lovelies! They could not be cuter!
Ginny’s two horses, Coin and Squish, joined in the fun!
Be more gorgeous! You couldn’t, even if you tried!
Can’t WAIT to shoot your wedding in October!!! Thanks for a fab evening!! xoxo
[…] A barn. Amazing. I was fortunate enough to photograph these two back in the summer for their engagement session – we lucked out yet again with the gorgeous weather and incredible scenery. Check out a few faves […]
