When you suggest an abandoned mine engagement session to your clients and they roll with it, you know you’ve scored big time! Annik and Julien wanted something different for their engagement session…a little outside the box. I think we succeeded.

It was a long shot, but I was driving up to my friend’s cottage for the day and did some Google research to see what I could find nearby that might fit the bill. And boom – Bristol Mines popped up. It was hard to tell what was what from the photos online, but I took a little pit stop on the way to the cottage to check it out. A little eerie when you’re by yourself, but from what I could tell, it was too cool to pass up.

I sent Annik and Julien some photos, and with a little convincing, they were on board!

We met on the most beautiful day – the sun was setting, it was warm but not too hot, just perfect!

There’s something about old newspapers that makes this place even creepier, am I right? There were so many random remains lying around…the adventurous little kid in me was so giddy.

And when you ask your clients to climb up a bunch of old tires and they say yes…all the heart emojis!

To say I am excited for their wedding next summer, at the Horticulture Building, is an understatement. It is no doubt going to be amazing! Stay tuned, friends!
