We had been trying to get this winter engagement session at Pine Grove Trail done for over a month. But, Mother Nature was nothing but rude to us. Three different dates were planned, in February and March, and all three of them were either rainy, extremely cold or just plain ugly. All three times, we crossed our fingers that the next time would be the day. And sure enough, on the fourth try, it was the most beautiful day. The sun was shining, we had recently had a snowfall that prevented the trail from looking brown and muddy, and the weather was warm enough that we didn’t really need to bundle up at all.
It had been a long time since I’d met with Julia and Peyo, but I felt like we picked up right where we left off. The sign of a good match! I love when you immediately feel at ease with clients – it just makes the experience that much more authentic.
If you’ve never been to Pine Grove Trail, it’s an absolute must. When you first make your way down the trail, you come to these beautiful tall trees that line the path into the woods. Such beauty.
Julia and Peyo are incorporating a lot of birch into their wedding, so it only seemed fitting to snap a few photos with some birch bark. No trees were harmed in this process – the bark was already on the ground 🙂
I asked Julia and Peyo if they’d be brave enough to trek across the busy road, just down the way from Pine Grove Trail, to snap one last picture of them in front of the snowy field – they politely obliged.
Looking forward to their wedding day in September this year!!! It’s going to be a good one!
