Last weekend, I was totally spoiled. I got to spend an amaaaaazing Friday with two of the most hilarious, humble, and lovely people you will ever meet. Pam and Andre’s wedding was so much better than I could ever have expected. Despite the rain, these two were beaming love and were so grateful to be spending the best day of their lives with their nearest and dearest. Not going to lie, there were MULTIPLE occasions in which I cried a little. Pull it together, Notley. Here’s a little peek into what’s in store on the blog SOON! How can you NOT love these two?!

With their wedding being on a Friday, this meant I had Saturday and Sunday OFF! Whaaaaat?! In the summer months, this is like Christmas morning. My husband and I packed up the car and headed to the cottage for the weekend with friends. I didn’t bring my laptop, I checked my email maybe once, and spent the majority of the day lying on the dock, playing with my “nephew” (we’re not related by blood, but he’s the closest thing to a nephew AND he calls me Auntie Ashley, so there!), and enjoying the freedom of just being in the moment, without distraction. Nothing better than a weekend of doing what you love and then spending the rest of it relaxing, recharging and lounging with your nearest and dearest. With the craziness of the wedding season approaching (I have 11 weddings in July/August…ELEVEN!), I’m taking advantage of any time I can spend with myself…and maybe my husband too.

I get to do it all over again this weekend with the hubs. Cottage, relaxing, reading, BBQ…..bliss.
