My gorgeous cousin was married in Ireland earlier this month and I was lucky enough to be the one to capture it all unfold. I can’t WAIT to share this beautiful wedding with you – it’s a stunner. I could not stop gushing while taking their photos. We toured Dublin, drove down the coast a little bit (to Bray, where my grandfather was born) and made our way to the Wicklow Mountains, where Alisa and Phil got married. First, we had a layover in St John’s, Newfoundland so we went into town for a stroll and a little dinner.
A hop, skip, and a plane and we were found ourselves in Dublin.
Tim found himself a burrito. I found myself a cerveza. He was much happier about his burrito than he looks.
In Bray, the Notley homeland.
My grandfather’s house in Bray!
A drive down the coast…
The backdrop at the wedding…not too shabby!
These two at the wedding – REALLY not shabby at all!
Following the wedding, Tim and I traveled to Italy and Portugal. First stop: Venice.
Next, Verona where Tim used to live and coach baseball.
It’s hard to get a good selfie with a DSLR. Reflections are key!
Then we went to the Opera. Best date night ever!
Then Tim went to catch up with his baseball dudes and I caught up on some Bachelorette. Best date night with myself!
We took a day trip to Lago di Garda, just north of Verona. Super relaxing!
Then the longest train ride ever to Cinque Terre….but OH so worth it. This was by far my fave. Good food, good wine, and this PLACE!? How does this exist in real life?
This is a Fiat Panda. If you’ve been to Italy, you will know these things are our version of the Honda Civic. Every second person drives one. This is Tim’s old school version he hopes to bring to Canada.
This was our view at dinner…need I say more?
We stopped in one of the villages for a much needed swim and bite to eat
The next day, we left for Roma.
I may move to Italy and just be a wedding photographer there.
We had the most incredible CHEAP italian dinner, off the beaten track a little…where the man next to us offered to take our picture AND a violinist serenaded us. Heaven.
And then, finally, to Portugal. We arrived to see a park had been closed off and dedicated to the World Cup game of the evening. Pretty fun!
And for the cherry on top, we headed south to the beach for our last hurrah before heading home to the real world…
We stayed in town for dinner, where we came across my dad’s pub. I thought it was a sign we should stay forever.
Wow! Stunning Photos Ashley Notley!!
