Christine and James had originally expressed interest in doing their engagement session in the winter, however, winter hit, and they changed their mind! I don’t blame them – winter engagement sessions can be nice, but if it’s freezing cold, you don’t exactly look like you’re enjoying yourself.

The couple opted for a spring engagement session, outdoors, as things were starting to come alive again. We decided on the Mackenzie King Estate since they’ve enjoyed going hiking there together in the past.

The weather was beautiful and sunny all day long until about an hour before our shoot, it clouded over. In fact, it even sprinkled rain on my drive up to Gatineau Park. But when I saw Christine get out of the car, wearing this beautiful floor length marsala coloured dress, I knew our lack of sunshine wouldn’t matter.

I just loved how Christine’s dress moved in the wind. Pure perfection.

It ended up being really cold and windy, so I don’t think Christine minded too much when I asked her to snuggle with her man.

I am so excited for these two to tie the knot at the Chateau Laurier in September! It’s going to be a good one!
