Timeline
There's nothing worse than feeling overwhelmed and squeezing every last little detail into your wedding day. I'm going to tell you right now, no matter how organized or prepared you are, there will be hiccups, things will run late, and you've just gotta roll with it. Your day is meant to be enjoyed - soak in every little moment that you can because it flies by! That said, it's a good idea to add in some extra "padding" to your timeline. Travel to/from, hair & makeup, rain, 30min speeches (even though you specifically asked to keep it short)...it's inevitable.
To help guide you through, here's a look at what a typical wedding day timeline looks like (with extra padding!).
11:30 - Groom prep
12:30 - Bride prep*
1:45 - First look photos
3:00 - Ceremony
4:00 - Family photos
4:30 - Wedding party photos
5:15 - Bride & Groom photos
6:30 - Dinner & Speeches
8:45 - First dances
-Having your ceremony at sunset or in the winter months? (Dreamy!) Consider taking all the family and wedding party photos beforehand.
-Not seeing each other before the ceremony? Plan to allot 1.5hrs for family, wedding party and bride & groom photos.
*This includes details like rings, flowers, dress, shoes, etc.).
